The casting process of cast iron platform adopts advanced resin sand process or disappearing mold casting process. Resin sand type has high rigidity, which can provide strong support for the iron at the early stage of pouring, and use the graphitization expansion of cast iron solidification to effectively eliminate shrinkage, shrinkage and loosening problems, and realize less risers or no risers casting, which saves materials and improves production efficiency. Disappearing mold casting through the foam mold buried in the sand, pouring mold vaporization disappeared, the metal liquid filling molding, can produce a complex shape, precise size of the cast iron platform blank.
After the blank molding, need to carry out a series of processing. The first is heat treatment, the casting will be heated to 500 ℃ - 650 ℃ and slowly cooled, to eliminate the casting process generated by the internal stress, improve the stability of the material, reduce the risk of deformation in the later use. Subsequently, machining, rough machining to remove most of the residual quantity, finish machining using precision planing, grinding and other processes to ensure that the platform flatness and dimensional accuracy. For high-precision requirements of the platform, will also carry out scraping process, through artificial or mechanical scraping, so that the platform surface microscopic unevenness to reach the micron level, every 25mm × 25mm range of contact points to meet the standards of different levels of accuracy, such as 0 level platform not less than 25 points. Finally, the surface treatment, sandblasting treatment to remove surface impurities and increase the roughness, improve the adhesion of the coating, and then spray antirust paint to enhance the corrosion resistance of the platform.
The common structure of cast iron platforms are ribbed plate type and box type. Reinforced plate platform in the bottom of the plate is designed with crisscrossed reinforcement, similar to the grid structure, this design reduces the weight of the platform, while ensuring good rigidity and stability, better heat dissipation performance, suitable for frequent movement and use of occasions, such as laboratory testing platforms, small mechanical assembly platform. Box type platform is the bottom of the flat plate is closed into a box structure, the interior can be filled with concrete and other counterweight materials, with high rigidity and resistance to deformation, can withstand the heavy pressure of heavy equipment, commonly used in large machine tool base, large equipment installation and debugging platforms and so on.
In order to facilitate transportation and installation, the cast iron platform is equipped with lifting holes or threaded holes on the side or surface, which can be installed with lifting rings, handles and other auxiliary devices. On some platforms where fixtures or workpieces need to be fixed, T-slots, dovetail grooves, round holes, etc. are processed. T-slots are convenient for installing T-bolts and fixing all kinds of fixtures; dovetail grooves can be used for installing dovetail sliders to realize accurate movement and positioning of the workpieces; and round holes can be used with locating pins to ensure that the workpieces are mounted in accurate positions. The edges of the platform are usually obtuse to avoid injuries to operators during use, reflecting the concept of humanized design.
