Installation of support frame for rain cover of conveyor (core load-bearing structure)

The support frame is the "stress foundation" of the rain cover and needs to be horizontal and secure. The specific steps are as follows:

Cutting and pretreatment of skeleton materials

According to the length of the frame, cut the Z-shaped steel or angle steel into sections that match the frame (each section is usually the same length as a single rain cover, or set according to the design spacing), and grind and remove rust from the cut skeleton section. If necessary, apply anti-rust paint to extend the service life.

Skeleton fixation (welding or bolt connection)

If welding is used: weld the frame (Z-shaped steel/angle steel) vertically on the channel steel (or preset small angle steel) on both sides of the belt conveyor frame. The spacing between welding points is recommended to be no more than 1.5 meters, ensuring that each section of the frame has at least 2 welding points. After welding, use a hammer to remove welding slag and apply anti-rust paint.

If bolts are used for connection (applicable to scenarios where welding is not convenient): Drill holes on both sides of the frame and the skeleton in advance, and use bolts to secure the skeleton to the frame. The bolts need to be fitted with washers, and after tightening, check for any looseness (to avoid shaking of the rain cover later).

Calibration of skeleton flatness

Inspect the levelness of the framework segment by segment using a level meter to ensure there is no noticeable height difference on the same side (with an error not exceeding 3mm per meter). If any tilt is observed, adjustments to the welding position or the addition of iron shims are required to prevent "edge warping" after the installation of the rain cover.
